Installing Butterfly: Place the new butterfly over the base stem and make sure that the tab and the slot line up. Put pressure on the center cap and it will snap onto the stem.
Butterfly: Hold the stem firmly and pull up to separate the center cap from the base stem.

Installing the batteries: Open the battery box cover and put in 3 AA batteries in the direction shown by the polarity marks. Close the battery box and make sure it is secure.
